The Mission of Congregation Agudas Achim Religious School is to provide a well rounded education to each child of CAA, grounded in Jewish literacy and the development of a strong Jewish identity. Jewish literacy at CAARS will emphasize the meaning of being a Conservative Jew, based on Torah and prayer, and well versed in Jewish history and the Hebrew language. Our children’s identity will be based upon an understanding of ethical values to live a Jewish life, concern and identification with K’lal Yisrael (the Jewish People), and knowledge of Jewish culture; all grounded in family and spirituality. Our vision of the education at CAARS creates the foundation for life-long Jewish learning and living.
CAARS is the supplemental religious school of Congregation Agudas Achim, a Conservative community of Jews in Austin, Texas. CAA is affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. CAARS offers educational programming for members' children ages Pre-Kindergarten through grade twelve.
CAARS offers joint programming and community building opportunities for CAA-member children who attend either CAARS or AJA (Austin Jewish Academy). Joint programs include Shabbatonim, Sunday Chavurot for 6th and 7th graders and special Shabbat programs.
