According to the bylaws of Congregation Agudas Achim, the Bet Midrash Committee (CAARS) is charged with the supervision of the school of the Congregation. This responsibility covers a wide range of tasks and obligations. Specifically, this committee is responsible for the review and the retooling of policy, rules and regulations, curriculum and budget. The Committee is charged with the overall responsibility to set the educational goals, to set standards for becoming a confirmand and 12th grade graduate, and to oversee and advise on the development of the curriculum and budget. This committee also monitors implementation of the CAARS policy by the Director. As with all committees and subcommittees of CAA, (other than the Dues Evaluation Subcommittee of the Finance Committee) CAARS Committee meetings are open to any Member in Good Standing of the Congregation. However, committees may be allowed to call for executive sessions at which only regular committee members may be present.
Information about the school can be obtained by calling the Administrative Assistant at 735-8420 or the Director at 735-8422. Any CAARS committee member may also be contacted about any questions or concerns.
